At BILLY VAN CREAMY, we pride ourselves on making wholesome ice cream, free from artificial stabilisers, emulsifiers and flavours. The result of much testing (and tasting), we offer a wide range of dairy, vegan, gluten free and halal-friendly flavours made with fresh, locally sourced produce of the highest quality—and nothing else.
We pit our own fruit, pick our own herbs, grind our own nuts, bake our own biscuits and make our own jams, so you can rest assured knowing everything in our ice cream is real, wholesome and, above all else, delicious. It’s just like homemade ice cream, only better.

BILLY VAN CREAMY was founded in 2014 by brothers Mitch and Alex Wells. Starting with just one truck atop Ruckers Hill, Northcote, we now have stores in Melbourne and Perth. While the business continues to grow, our ingredients-driven approach to ice cream remains the same.
We strive to source all of our ingredients from smaller, local producers who share our commitment to wholesome, sustainably made food that caters to all.
Sustainability practices and our impact on the environment is extremely important to our business. We always source organic ingredients, where possible, from small producers and reduce our waste by using stainless steel spoons for tastings, ceramic cups to dine-in, and ‘BYO containers’ for takeaway. Our milk is supplied in large bladders rather than small bottles and we are constantly trying to find better ways of reducing and disposing of our waste.
